This summer is flying by...and "naming" has become a very big issue around my home and studio.

We were blessed with 5 wonderful cocker spaniel pups in late April (Bolt is a grandpa!) who have now gone to their forever homes...one will be staying with me and what a time I had finding his perfect name!

He's super adorable, loves carrying sticks...great temperament...so...he is now "Tom" Sawyer (a la Mark Twain's mischievous young character) - formally known as Topaz N Begay's Steamboat Charmer. Here he is below with Uncle Robbie - formally known as MBISS GCHG Topaz N Begay's He's My Dreamboat, TKN, CGC, FITB

Sawyer will be going to his first puppy shows in September! And his Uncle Robbie will start doing shows with me in September, too.

And...my ceramics sessions begin again in September! We had a great time this summer - some wonderful students and creations - at the Arts Council of Princeton and now fall classes are open for registration! They fill fast!

So honored that Garden of Love: A Dog & Flower Alphabet Party received not one but 3 nominations for a Maxwell Award from the prestigious Dog Writers Association of America this past month! In celebration, autographed copies and summertime gifts are available at special prices on my website! Click here for yours ! I was also honored to also receive the DWAA James Colasanti Jr Poetry Award and grant for "Tomato Girl" poem published in LaJoie literary magazine - a real thrill and honor! Email me if you'd like to read a copy of "Tomato Girl"! [email protected]

I hope this little has brought you some cheer and the sun is shining wherever you are!

xoxo

Debi (and all the cocker spaniels, too!)
